Is your website speed damaging your Google ranking?

Google recently announced that site speed is now one of the factors that determines web page rankings.

Google says "Faster sites create happy users and we've seen in our internal studies that when a site responds slowly, visitors spend less time there."

Google use around 200 criteria in their page rank algorithm and although this new factor may carry less weight than page relevance it's worth checking as part of the SEO process that your site is fast enough to avoid being penalised.
